India is on the brink of a deep tech revolution, and our founder, Mr. Ganesan Narayanasamy, President of the OpenPOWER Foundation, is leading the charge with a visionary initiative to establish 100 OpenPOWER Labs across the country. These labs aim to nurture talent in cutting-edge fields such as AI, chip design, data science, cybersecurity, and quantum computing, aligning with the Make in India mission. During his recent visit to The Gandhigram Rural Institute, Mr. Ganesan Narayanasamy was honored with the title of Honorary Professor and witnessed the unveiling of a Make-in-India chip prototype, proudly developed by the institute’s faculty. This milestone reflects India's growing capability to create indigenous technologies using open hardware. Through this initiative, we are committed to building an innovation-driven ecosystem that empowers students and researchers from rural areas to make a global impact.
